Delightful Lakeland Terraced Cottage

This delightful Lakeland terraced cottage has very much the country chic feel about out.The owner has made great efforts to blend modern day living and quality furnishings together in this beautifully decorated cottage.
Tucked away in a quiet side street off the centre of the bustling village of Bowness, you will find Beaumont Cottage. This is a perfect place to base yourself for exploring all that the lake district has to offer and you could even leave the car and utilise the local transport services, with a bus stop just at the end of the street and Lake Windermere a short stroll away, where boats can be boarded for access to Ambleside and Lakeside as well as Hawkshead and beyond.

From the entrance you access the cosy lounge with sumptuous corner couch, electric fire and Smart TV. The hallway then leads you to a bright and modern dining room with quaint window seat, additional flat screen TV and comfortable dining for four on those evenings you choose to stay in and cook rather than be tempted out by the large selection of pubs and restaurants in the village. A modern and well equipped kitchen, with access to the rear enclosed courtyard which has secure bike storage and ample space to sit and enjoy dinner alfresco or a glass of wine on those warmer evenings.

Upstairs to both colourful and comfortable bedrooms, kingsize to the front with ample storage and flat screen TV and a cosy twin room to the rear, next to a bright and fully tiled bathroom with a full sized bath to soak away those aches after a long day on the fells or in the shops and shower unit above the bath.
Beaumont Cottage ticks all the boxes for comfort, coziness and location and the personal touches and attention to detail certainly make it a "Home from Home" here in the Lake District.
As well as a National Park, the Lake District received worldwide recognition when granted World Heritage Status by UNESCO! Something we are extremely proud of.

Post lockdown in the lakes

A great little cottage that was the perfect location for us. The booking process was simple, and the 4 night stay gave us plenty of opportunity to explore the area from a great base.

Gateway to the Lakes

Relaxing stay in this clean, quiet, comfortable apartment.Easy access to all the Lake Villages, get the bus at the end of the street, no need to move the car at all. A short stroll down to the waterfront, shops and restaurants. Good communication, all very easy.

Peaceful retreat

My family and I had a great time staying here. House was centrally located, near all the tourist attractions and hikes! The house was clean and we had everything we needed. Instructions were clear and wanted for nothing. Will definitely stay here again!

Perfect family cottage

A cute modern cottage in a fantastic central location

This location could not have been any better. Just off the main high street in Windemere, we had access to restaurants, shops, cafes and bars within walking distance. This two bedroom property was clean, modern and tastefully decorated. I would definitely rent this property again!

Smashing week in Bowness

Lovely clean cottage, very well presented. Ideal location close to restaurants and shops right in the centre of Bowness. Would benefit from larger bath towels and possibly a handrail over the bath to aid access. Would recommend this cottage, maybe not if you have mobility issues due to stairs. Fantastic stay overall.

Short time away.

Lovely cottage

We found the cottage lovely, clean and comfortable. Location is excellent and just a short walk into town. You do get a parking permit which allows you to park on a few streets and there are other streets with non permit parking nearby but on the whole we found parking a bit difficult unless we got back early each day, but that's just because it's a busy town. Couldn't fault the cottage and had a lovely stay.

Amazing Stay

The cottage is immaculate and excellently presented with lovely decor. Although it has a town centre location the street is very quiet with no through traffic which makes its location perfect. It is very homely and well stocked with everything you need and more. It is maintained to a very high standard with everything working perfectly. We had an amazing stay and really didn’t want to leave which says it all.

Great little home base in the Lake District

This little cottage was easy to find and is right amongst all the little shops and restaurants in Bowness. We found it to be a convenient location for everything we wanted to do in our short stay in the Lake District. The cottage itself is cozy and comfortable, with everything we needed. Unfortunately it was too cold and wet during our stay to use the small outdoor space, but we enjoyed the view out the back of the cottage over the little stone-walled yards of all the adjoining cottages.

Fantastic Accomodation

The cottage is the nicest one we have stayed in, we have visited Bowness 4 times this year, first time in Beaumont Cottage and would definitely book the cottage again. Excellent location, spotlessly clean and is really well equipped. Everything you need is no more than 5 minutes walk away, and kitchen is so well equipped you can cook if not wanting to go out. Owner/ management company great to communicate with fast response every time. Thanks again looking forward to our next visit.

A beautiful cottage in Bowness

We have just returned from our stay in Beaumont Cottage, Bowness. It is beautifully furnished and so comfortable.It came up to all our expectations, it has everything you need and more. It is just as pictured on the web ( in fact it is even better it is so clean and comfy). It is in a quiet road just 5 mins walk from the lake with parking permit and is so convenient for all the Lakes attractions.There are lots of lovely eating places nearby and I would certainly recommend it to friends and family. Hope to stay again sometime Thank you.

Walking in Lake District

The house was in a good location, quiet and away from all the tourists. We were there to do some hiking in the lake district and found the location to be very good. The house was nice and had what we needed. Terrace could use some green plants. It had a magic washer/dryer in one machine. Magic.

Fantastic Stay Again

We have stayed previously in another of this agents properties and we went back because we knew they were good! Very clean and well kept. Really feels like home here, and no negatives really. The only slight pain on this street is parking as it’s almost impossible to get a space anywhere near the house, but if you like a short walk you will always find somewhere to dump the car! Highly recommend.

Family of four stayed one week in late August

An excellent property close to town centre. The house was very clean and well maintained. We have nothing negative to comment and would strongly recommend it. The local buses are excellent and are easier to use than taking off every day and trying to park. Can be a bit pricey for one day but a weekly family ticket for all areas at £60 was money well spent. We had a thoroughly memorable week and enjoyed our time both local to the house and ranging further off into the hills.

Lovely cottage

We had a lovely stay in this traditional Lakeland cottage which was equipped beyond our expectations and very cosy and comfortable. Nice quiet location and a five minute walk at most to the centre of bowness. Would definitely recommend a stay here but just be mindful the parking can be tricky despite the permit. We had two occasions we couldn’t get parked but were able to park nearby on the main road and left it there overnight instead as this fell outside of the restricted hours . Would definitely return as the cottage itself was faultless.

Home away from Home

Very central to everything including several cafes, grocery stores, liquor store, restaurants yet very quiet. The cottage is spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything - nice dishes, pots, cutlery. Great to have some basics like spices, sugar, tea bags, laundry soap which I find rare for many Air b&b’s. Water pressure in shower is great! Lots of tv stations, books, games, nice decor, comfortable, warm. Nothing more to say. Thank you Tracey.
