We have just returned from a fabulous few days in this gorgeous cottage. The location was perfect for visiting all our favourite places in the local area and it was a lovely warm and cosy place to return to each night. The host, Gill, provided lot's of information prior to our stay and the cottage was equipped with everything we needed during our stay. I have already recommended this accommodation to friends and family, and would love to return in summer to enjoy the beautiful garden.

Thank you so much Dani for your lovely review. I'm delighted the new heating system was working well for you, given the very cold outdoor temperatures during your stay! I'm so glad to hear you had such an enjoyable stay and I'd be delighted to welcome you back for a wee summer holiday so you can explore Northumberland in some warmer weather!!
What a lovely place to stay, so relaxing, clean and comfortable! Very convenient to explore the lovely sites of Northumberland, we visited Bamburgh, Beadnell & Seahouses all are just down the road, ideal base for exploring, we loved relaxing in the conservatory and watching the animals in the paddock opposite, we loved the cottage and the area and would love to visit again
This is a lovely little cottage in a quiet hamlet within a short drive of Bamburgh, along the scenic coast road. We had one question for the host during our stay, and she responded almost instantly. The cottage was clean and well furnished and we quickly felt at home. When we next visit Northumberland we will definitely check if it's free.

The cottage was great, directions were spot on. It was in a great area, located nicely between Bambugh and Alnwick. They provided us with some great recommendations to eat at and the conservatory was a great place to sit and enjoy the scenery.

About the host
Hosted by Gill
I am Gill. Our beautiful cottage has been in our family for the past 28 years and we have enjoyed holidaying every year with our kids at this magical place on the Northumbrian Coast.
Why they chose this property
We have family connections in Northumberland so this has been an ideal base for visiting family while enjoying a relaxing holiday in the most beautiful surroundings. We love the rural setting but also enjoy being close enough to the surrounding towns and villages where we can appreciate good food, the stunning coastline and also the history which Northumberland is famous for from the story of Grace Darling, to the monks of Lindisfarne and onto the spectacular Bamburgh Castle which you can't fail to be impressed by. We love to walk whether it be along the beach, or further inland to the crags above Belford, St Cuthberts cave or the beautiful Langleeford just outside Wooler and all within a 20 minute drive from our cottage.
What makes this property unique
Millstone cottage is set within a small hamlet, there is private parking, a beautiful flowing burn which runs past the back garden and from where you can enjoy a spot of fishing and here is where you may also spot the spectacular Kingfisher. We are located on Budle Bay which is a very popular spot for bird watchers and from here you can begin your walk along the coastline which will take you to Bamburgh then onto Seahouses
