The two of us enjoyed our stay at Tower View, it is in a quiet location but only a short drive from Bowness/Windermere. A fire pit, BBQ and ample outdoor seating is provided in the west facing garden, but at the end of September the evenings were cool so we used the comfortable lounge and good sized dining room. The house is very well equipped and we would happily stay again. Minor grumbles would be the incredibly creaky wooden floors downstairs and the awkward vehicle access, but neither of these should put you off booking a stay. Highly recommended.

Excellent cottage.
Excellent cottage. Had everything we needed. Very spacious. Plenty of room to dry wet walking boots and waterproofs. Lovely and warm in the cold weather. Log burner made it even more cosy. Outdoor space would be lovely in the summer with the huge patio area, bbq and fire pit. Kids loved the tyre swing. Driveway very steep making access difficult. Having reversed in, having two cars there made it impossible to be able to turn the car round to reverse out. Lovely tranquil location. Great base for exploring. We would return.

Couple of minuses like no tumble drier and very steep drive with sharp turn at the top (you'll struggle if not used to using handbrake) and none of our favourite lidl or aldi supermarkets nearby (other shops available including Booths supermarket with fantastic quality food and drink). Otherwise the house had everything we needed, will comfortably sleep 6 which makes it very good value for money, proper sturdy bbq for those long warm summer evenings, well equipped kitchen, fantastic view from the bench above the house-just sit, sip on your pint and look at the lake. Close enough but not TO close to very busy town. Marina with motor boats to hire for fishing or just cruising 15 minute drive away. Classic walking and MTB trails within similar distance. Most importantly-keys in a keysafe, you let yourself in and no visits "just to say hello" from the owners. Will definitely be back.
Brilliant place, drive a bit ‘
hairy ‘ & shower unpredictable otherwise we absolutely loved it!

The driveway is very steep but once you reach the top it's worth the climb uphill.
Overall. We were impressed.

Absolutely immaculate! Ideal central location.
Absolutely immaculate! Ideal central location. The cottage was huge, the photos they use to advertise it don’t do it justice, it’s fantastic!
I did read a few dodgy reviews about the drive beforehand but I honestly didn’t find it a problem and that was in a large estate car! Seriously I can’t praise the place enough.
Many thanks to the owners, the booking team and the cleaners❤️
