Hosts were super nice and attentive,The location is unreal, coming from Massachusetts and then seeing the flatirons right outside the apartment door was breathtaking.
Very clean and comfortable space, in beautiful neighborhood, walking distance to Chautauqua Park and restaurants on College Ave. Also easy walk to bus stop for the Hop route going into Pearl St. and downtown. The kitchen was thoughtfully equipped with microwave, toaster oven, etc, full size fridge. Very nice temperature control with AC unit and window fans as needed depending on time of day. We loved it and would definitely stay again!
The owners are very nice and welcoming. We have stayed there twice and would not hesitate to stay there again. We loved it!

Very clean, quiet location down the street from the FlatIrons. Watching the season change during our visit made it all the more enjoyable. The hiking was fantastic. Great food within walking distance. Love the area.
We spent a very enjoyable Weekend in Boulder. The property was clean and quiet and accessible to everything that we wanted to see and do. I would come back again.

Jean and Jim are great and went well out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. The apartment is clean, comfortable and plenty big enough. I loved my stay and will try to book this again when I come back to Boulder.

The perfect get away for you and your partner. This charming one bedroom apartment at the base of the flat irons is the perfect locale for all of your Boulder/Denver excursions. The owners could not have been more attentive and the apartment has all of your needs: from kitchenette to queen size bedroom with living space. We hope to stay again!
This unit is located in a beautiful old neighborhood, lots of trees, and close to the centerpiece of the the Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parksy system - Chautauqua, with extensive hiking trails. It is also not far from the Pearl Street Mall, walking street with loads of shops and eateries. It was the perfect spot from which to enjoy all that Boulder has to offer and a good jumping off point for the various sights and things to do in the Denver, front range area.
We decided to extend a work trip by 4 days and stay in Boulder. The location was perfect - easy walks to Pearl street, Boulder creek path and hiking trails. The apartment was spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed. The little touches like phone plug ins on both side of bed, grocery bags for shopping and organic coffee made the stay easy. Highly recommend it and we will be back.
I had an amazing experience with this stay. The hosts went above and beyond to make me feel at home. The location is just perfect, only steps away from the most magical hiking. The beautiful university campus is a 15 minute walk away, and the main street with lots of restaurants, shops etc. is about a 20 minute walk. The apartment itself is even larger than it appears in the photos. It had great light from many windows, the internet was fast enough for an online meeting I had, the kitchen had everything I needed, and there was so much information about Boulder made available in a binder prepared by the hosts. I would 100% recommend!
This is a lovely place to spend a couple of weeks. Very nice, quiet neighbourhood, lots of trees! VERY close to Chatauqua for easy access to Boulder trails, four minutes walking max to an excellent cafe, very close to the bus route and to downtown Boulder. The hosts were very nice and friendly, very concerned to know if anything was needed, and responded promptly to any request that I had. The apartment was well outfitted as advertised. I plan to stay here again when I return to visit Boulder.
First time coming to Boulder, we weren’t sure what to expect. But this apartment and city’s atmosphere blew us away! If you’re worried about privacy there is nothing to worry about here! It felt as if we were on our own the whole vacation, the home owners were very respectful of privacy and we really appreciated it. The upstairs apartment was very clean and cozy! Really was taken back when we first stepped foot up there. Extremely convenient to downtown campus and flatirons, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a reasonable stay with fantastic owners to anyone! We really couldn’t thank them enough, any questions or requests we had they made sure to meet. It was a flawless stay. Anytime we come back to boulder this will be the first place we check out! Thanks again for having us.
This apt with private/separate entrance was 2 long blocks from Chautauqua (it's on the Hill). Very quiet neighborhood away from students, parking available around the block (about 200 feet). Owners extremely thoughtful about the space: adequate power outlets, charger cables, tourist booklets, guidebook for area, lots of convenience items like Q-tips, etc. Great wifi, lots of options on streaming TV, very clean, new fixtures, extremely comfortable/firm (memory foam?) bed with different kinds of pillows to choose from, great linens, portable AC unit (it's an upstairs apt that can get warm but AC is good). Brita pitcher in fridge was a plus. Coffee maker with permanent filter was eco-friendly but a slight drag to clean out each morning. Clearly a 'personal' not a 'corporate' kind of vibe, they like to meet the tenant and give some restrictions (no shoes, no parking in front). I was a bit conscious of walking around and making the floors squeak a little in this pretty Victorian though I was mostly out during the day. Total silence in the space, no intrusions, no problems except maybe would have been nice to have some half-n-half in the full-size fridge for my coffee (no stores within easy walking distance) and claw-foot tub/shower was clean and worked well but curtain was a bit awkward and tub a bit tricky if balancing on one foot (overhead handle was good though). Tons of attention to detail that should be applauded.

Jason,
It was great hosting you, thank you for being such a good guest. Very glad you enjoyed the apartment and appreciated the details that we provide to help make your stay as comfortable as possible. We hope to see you again next time you have business here in Boulder.
We stayed at this cozy apartment in October. Owners were quick to respond to any questions and were very helpful. As stated in the description there is a clawfoot tub with shower. it was not an issue for us but could be with a person with limited mobility. Our initial lodgings we had made fell through at the last minute and we were lucky that this apartment was available. Great location to Pearl sSreet and many parks.
We were so happy to be steps from beautiful hikes. The apartment was a great short-term stay in a quiet neighborhood with nature on its doorstep.
Comfortable bed, the extra sink was a good bonus, and the internet was good enough for work from home for two people.

Lindsey it was very nice hosting you and Jon for your stay in Boulder. The apartment was left in excellent condition which we really appreciate. We hope you come back and visit in the future.
Jean & Jim could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The location is perfect (a short walk) for hiking at Chautauqua Park, close to everything Boulder has to offer and walking distance to Alpine Modern, a great little coffee shop. The apartment was very comfortable and cozy (especially with the snow outside) and I could very easily live there. It had everything I needed including a comfortable bed, a wonderful claw foot bathtub and a great sitting area to view the Astros games! :) The kitchen was well appointed with coffee, tea, snacks and everything I needed to prepare meals or refrigerate groceries or take out. I would highly recommend this property and plan on staying here again the next time I am in Boulder! :)

Lynda, it was so nice hosting you during your stay with us in Boulder. Glad you liked our cozy apartment, enjoyed talking with you and hope you will come back and visit us again. Thanks!!
A very comfy quite apartment above owners residence. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable bed on a lovely tree lined street. Two blocks to a great coffee house which opened early AM. Parking around corner was no problem.
Comfortable and quirky appartment on University Hill
I spent 10 days with my daughter starting as a freshman at CU Boulder in this property and we had fantastic time! First of all the appartment is very cute, comfortable, clean and well equipped. The owners are fabulous people, welcoming and extremely helpful. The position is great in walking distance to the university, buzzing Pearl Street and Chautauqua Park where you can enjoy breathtaking hikes on the mountains.
My daughter is now part of the Buff s family and I am looking forward to spending more time in beautiful Bolder with great people like Jean and Jim . Thanks for the unforgettable experience!
Great apartment. Comfortable neighborhood. What's not to like?
The apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable, just as described. The proprieters, Jean and Jim, lived in the downstairs portion of the house and were pleasant and unobtrusive. They also provided a wealth of information about hiking and outdoor opportunities. The apartment is within easy walking distance of the campus (especially the Memorial Center) and the neighborhood is quiet. Especially pleasing was the short walk to Chataqua, an excellent park and hiking area (with a pleasant restaurant as well). The dining/entertainment part of the town was a short (5 minute) drive away. Here there are several wonderful places to eat (note: our home is New Orleans). The neighborhood also has several restaurants within walking distance and nice coffee shops. We heartily recommend this place to others.

We love sharing what makes Boulder such a great place to visit — especially the endless hiking, biking, and outdoor activities right outside the door. If you'd like recommendations during your stay, we're always happy to point you toward local favorites for trails, dining, or sightseeing.
Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because it captures everything we love about Boulder. Uni Hill is one of the oldest and most character-filled areas in town — every home is unique, the streets are quiet and walkable, and there’s a real sense of community.
We can walk to Chautauqua Park in minutes for morning hikes, grab coffee near campus, or be downtown on Pearl Street in no time. It’s peaceful, safe, and perfectly situated — close to everything, but never crowded or noisy. Living here truly gives you that classic Boulder experience.
What makes this property unique
What makes our property unique is the combination of location and character. The home was built in 1904 and sits in one of Boulder's classic historic neighborhoods — quiet, safe, and full of charm. Guests stay in the private upstairs apartment, which has its own entrance and feels like a peaceful retreat.
You can walk or bike just about anywhere — Chautauqua Park, CU’s campus, local coffee shops, and restaurants are all close by. The fully fenced property adds an extra sense of privacy and makes the space feel tucked away, even while being close to everything.
