About this property

Secluded Classic Kiwi Bach.

This classic Lockwood bach is sheltered and totally private while being minutes from the beach and Hinemaiaia River- renowned for it's Trout fishing, walking and great biking tracks.
With north and south facing decks and lawned areas it offers plenty of outdoor space, perfect for families or groups wanting to get away. An outdoor dining area and BBQ are available. Perfect for alfresco dining.
Hatepe settlement is unique in every way, being made up of a small number of original fishing baches nestled amongst native bush around the shores of Lake Taupo's beautiful Hatepe Bay at the mouth of the Hinemaiaia River. It offers its own boat ramp (for residents and Hatepe visitors exclusively) and a community tennis court (charges apply)t. Being 15 minutes from Taupo and Turangi townships offering four golf courses and thermal pools and One hour from Mt Ruapehu's skifields. Hatepe is the ultimate year round getaway.
The house is well insulated with an open fire and wetback to supplement hot water heating. It sleeps six.
A full cleaning and linen service is provided. A new washer and drier are available for your use.
Special conditions:
Maximum of 6 adults.
Pets allowed with prior approval. There is a fully fenced rear section and dog kennel. Please, no dogs inside.
December and January is a minimum stay of 4 nights.

Cosy place with all the main amenities and in a great area for getting away from it all.Clean enough but with a couple of arachniphobes, there were a few too many bugs around for us.

Another wonderful stay

This was our second summer staying at this property and we loved it so much the last time we stayed for a full two weeks. The house has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. A fully equipped kitchen, full laundry facilities and comfortable beds and living areas. The outdoor areas are large with plenty of shade on those hot days. And ideally only minutes walk from the lakefront! We will be back.

Fabulous Bach

Great Bach with everything you need. Very very clean and everything as described. A short walk takes you to the lakeside and less than 5 mins stroll to the famous “Hine” river for fly fishing so you can rig up at the Bach and walk straight in. Good and swift responses from the owners and clear instructions on how to get there and also how to use all mod cons. We will be booking again without doubt. Thanks so much.
