Well kept cabin. We loved the quiet nights on the deck. The owners are very kind and have an extremely nice setup. It is a horse camp, but we felt more than welcome on our Harley. I just waited until I was down the road before I opened the throttle. If you’re looking to stay outside of Custer but not far away, this is the place for you.
Enjoyed the stay and location. It was clean. It was a “duplex” cabin. No air but it wasn’t needed, opened windows at night and closed them during the day, maintained a good temperature. Only complaint was the loudness of the neighbors on the other side of the wall and the floor shaking on our half when the kids were running around on their side. The bathroom pocket door is kind of loud when opening and closing, only an issue when I closed and opened it in the middle of the night, and the noise sometimes waking my grandson. It is in the country, which we loved, but still close to Custer, Crazy Horse Monument, Custer State Park, and even Hill City. Not that far from other attractions for that matter. Didn’t spend a lot of time there as we were tourists, not horse owners. Porch/deck is nice and big, covered over door area, so we could sit out anytime even if raining. Close to horses. Nice storage spaces in the cabin, pretty roomy for a studio. We enjoyed it.

It was not written as strictly a horse place. We arrived and owner laughed because we were in a Ford Mustang and not with a horse. All roads were rough. None of this was explained in the information with Air BB. It was not explained that there would not be TV because no internet. Not explained well enough for people to understand. There were several places called amps but were available to all. In less words, it was not defined as a place for horse people.
This property is the perfect off the beaten trail rustic get away from the hustle to total peace in nature. Our studio was perfect for us four and close to all the adventures we did. The owners are great! Would stay again.
