This rental property is walking distance to everything in town, just leave your car and enjoy walking to shops, restaurant's and the beach. The two bedroom rental was very clean and cozy, very nice furnishings, decor and appliances. We enjoyed this property and highly recommend it to anyone, Diana was a great host and checked in through the VRBO site to make sure we were enjoying our stay.

3 year veteran on this property! Already booked for 2027! Diana the owner is amazing to work with. The property is a gem! Walking distance to Bear Skin Neck. 5 min driving to Long Beach and Good Harbor. It’s the perfect little spot for a wonderful getaway!

Very convenient location - could walk to the shops and beach area. Diana had lots of small things - coffee, laundry detergent, toiletries, etc. to make it easy to relax and not immediately go look for a grocery store. There was a notebook of places to visit or eat out. I did suggest a stool in the bathroom to help reach the controls of the dryer.

Home away from home

A lovely gem in Rockport. Close to downtown and the shops/beach. The patio area is a wonderful way to spend an evening or two. I would highly recommend staying here.

The stay here was excellent. The rooms and furnishings were comfortable. So wonderful to have a washer and dryer so we were able to do laundry before packing up for the trip back home. A great location, walking distance to cafes, shopping and the harbor view. Our host was excellent about communication. Definitely will look to stay here again if the opportunity presents itself in the future.

Our accommodations were fantastic. The space could not be in a better location as it is right up the block from the downtown area of Rockport. We were within walking distance to everything, including a gorgeous walking path along the ocean. The accommodations themselves were clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. Diana was extremely communicative and stocked up on everything that a guest might need during their stay. It was a wonderful trip and we’re already planning a return.

The place was a great and had everything we needed for our girls trip. We were 2/3 blocks from the Rockport shops and restaurants and quick drive to the train station for day trips into Salem and Boston. It was nice to come back after a busy day to this cozy apartment! Diane was a wonderful host and quick to respond to any questions we had. Would definitely stay here againThe scenic drive Cape Ann and a visit to Halibut Point State Park is a must, my personal favorite part of the trip.

We (my family of 5) stayed for a week at Diana's place and it was everything a well needed vacation should be! Diana thought of everything that you would need during your stay (or probably forget when packing). She was quick to respond to any inquiries and even reached out during the week to ensure everything was going smoothly. The property is absolutely charming and perfectly located. You're close enough to everything (bearskin neck, the shops, the restaurants, and the beaches) yet just far enough away from all the noise and traffic to sit out and enjoy the patio area. Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester was less than 10 minutes away and is one of our preferred beaches in the area but after spending a day at Front Beach in Rockport (just a short walk from the property) we spent most of our week living the European lifestyle and just walking everywhere. lolStepping inside the rental unit you'll find an immaculately clean unit. With everything you'll need to prepare and enjoy a nice home cooked meal. The beds were incredibly comfortable and my wife constantly raved about the water pressure in the shower and how enjoyable her showers were after a day at the beach. I cannot think of a single negative comment when it comes to the property, the rental unit, the host, or the rate. I would absolutely book another vacation here without a single second of hesitation! Always an Amazing Time!

My second year in a row at this property on the 4th! And i already booked for next year! It’s been added to a long tradition of going to Rockport every 4th of July weekend. I’ll keep staying there as long as I’m able to. The renter is always so welcoming and helpful. Responsive! We just love it there and love the location!

Magic in Rockport

Diana’s place was perfect! Super comfy furniture and beds. The apartment had everything you would need and more! Great location! Short walk to everything! Such a friendly, happy town. Rockport is our granddaughters favorite place to vacation. We all hope to return next summer!

Wonderful stay

2BR 1bath unit very clean and included soap/shampoo/conditioner as well as coffee and tea which was a plus for us flying in. Plenty of towels. Beds were comfortable for all including twin beds for adult children. a/c was flowing. Hot showers plentiful without issues. Quiet area, walking distance into Rockport. Host was very responsive, friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend to family and friends and stay again ourselves.

The Perfect 4th of July

I have been going to Rockport for more than 20 years for the 4th of July. We typically stay in a hotel or motor lodge. With that you are usually handicapped with parking and driving around constantly. This was the perfect location! So convenient. Walking distance from Bear Skin Neck. 2 parking spots! Pristine condition. The landlord was so sweet and great to deal with. We just had the best time. So much so i already booked it for next year!

Perfect location, spacious for family of 3

Perfect location just blocks away from Bearskin Neck without being in the middle of all the people traffic. Quieter. Spacious apartment for family of 3; we had master bedroom and teenage daughter had her own bedroom. It was so nice to be able to relax in the living room, watch movies, make tea after a beach walk, and not feel cramped in any way. Also nicely decorated, too. Layout of open kitchen/living room with breakfast counter felt very relaxed. Weather did not allow us to sit in side yard by the fire pit but we would have loved to end the evening by the fire! Host, Diana, actively communicated with us upon arrival and was so sweet and helpful. The guest binder with housekeeping details and tourist information is well-organized. If we return later this summer, we would DEFINITELY look to stay at this property again.

Perfect home, perfect location!!

I stayed here with my family the second week of June with my wife and two teens, 16 & 18. It was absolutely perfect for all of us. The weather was perfect all week. We were able to walk to so many things in Rockport, including three beautiful little beaches and of course all the shops and restaurants in and around bearskin neck. It is such a wonderful neighborhood. You could even walk to the train station if you wanted, but we usually drove there and there was always plenty of parking. We used the train to get back and forth to Salem, and it was far easier than driving and trying to find parking there. The house was very clean and had lots of extra amenities that we don’t normally expect. We made one trip to the grocery store for food in Gloucester, at the beginning of the week, and that was all we needed. We had two private parking spaces right next to our entry to the house! Diana was absolutely wonderful to communicate with. Check-in and check-out was very easy, and she gave us some very helpful tips for the area. If you are going to be visiting Rockport, Salem, Gloucester or anywhere else in the area, I would HIGHLY recommend staying here!

The apartment was beautiful and conveniently located near restaurants and the beaches in Rockport. Kitchen was well-stocked for light cooking and grill outside is convenient for smoky foods. A couple beach chairs on hand meant we had one fewer item to worry about packing. Lovely house overall!

Why they chose this property

This private, newly-renovated, well-appointed entire two-bedroom garden apartment comfortably sleeps four with full kitchen, bathroom, washer/dryer, central A/C. Desirably located, just steps to Rockport Harbor, restaurants, shopping, Shalin Liu Performance Center and short walk to beaches. Free onsite parking for two cars. Exclusive side yard use with patio, furniture and propane fire pit by summer. Bright & airy, it's a quiet, restorative getaway. Comfortable for families with portable Pack 'N Play crib, mattress, bedding, and infant bouncy chair.

What makes this property unique

The house is set in one of the best areas of Rockport with easy access to downtown shops and restaurants, across from Rockport Harbor, near the Headlands and Old Garden Beach, and easy to take walks from there down Marmion Way and other parts of town.

We have two free, off-street parking places at the house, right beside the entrance. The MBTA commuter rail comes into Rockport about 0.8 of a mile - or a 20 minute walk - to the house.

By Summer 2023, we plan to have an outdoor stone patio with comfortable outdoor furniture and a propane gas-fired outdoor fireplace for guests to enjoy. It's an exclusive side yard for the apartment so it is a nice place to hang out with family and friends with a sight line to town and Rockport Harbor.
