We were in town for a concert nearby at firefly distillery; this location was perfect. We felt safe and didn’t see anything to worry about during our stay (area itself could be viewed as slightly sketchy). Bonus that a delicious restaurant, rebel taqueria, is right across the street! The home was recently renovated and looks great. Lots of nice touches, comfortable beds, great bathroom size with towels and shelving plus everything you could need in the kitchen - even a very large washer/dryer (for longer stays). Only thing I’d recommend is a coat of paint (other than white) at least in the bathroom to refresh the space overall. The host was very responsive and friendly. Highly recommend this spot and will stay again when we come back!

Questioned how safe was the neighborhood. Communication with the host was like talking to a robot. Responses failed by host to understand our questions. We were charged a cleaning fee and a lot of the responsibility fell on the payee.

The house was great. We had everything we needed and the host was very responsive. The neighborhood looked a little run down, but we didn’t have any problems.

The area looked scary and deserted but getting to the house was so welcoming. I loved that the house was to itself, it was clean and inviting. If I come back to Charleston I definitely will book this property again.

Overall a great experience!

Overall we had a good stay at this location. Akira, the host is fantastic! Very nice and welcoming, easy to communicate with and responsive! Neighborhood is a bit on the rougher side but all of our encounters with neighbors were friendly and we just kept to ourselves. As far as cleanliness goes the bedrooms were very clean which in my opinion is the most important. Bathroom was clean. Kitchen was ok. There was a dirty glass with a mystery liquid in the cabinet when we got there but other than that it was mostly clean. The kitchen is stocked with cooking materials, however we did have to purchase a couple things like measuring cups and a spatula that wasn’t wooden to flip eggs and pancakes. For the price we paid and Akira being an amazing host I would say this was a great stay! The house is very nicely updated and we loved Charleston!
