Quiet Retreat on Tate Street

Freshly renovated with a whole new kitchen and set up! A sweet spot to call your home-base during your stay in Portland, Maine! Perfect for families, friends, small groups, and business trips! Easy access to all parts of Portland and the surrounding towns, colleges, and beaches.

Please note that no smoking is allowed anywhere on the property or around this house due to the gardens.

My 2-bedroom home is the left side of a duplex (I live on the right side): the bedrooms are on the second floor above the kitchen and small living area; there is also a finished basement downstairs, which most people use as a third bedroom. There is a queen bed and a full bed upstairs and an extra queen bed in the downstairs. Both upstairs bedrooms have AC units in the windows during the summer.

**Please read the house rules! There is no smoking anywhere inside or around the outside of the property. Please do not drop butts anywhere in the area.

**There is not much lounging around space in my house. The couches and hanging out area are compact.

**There are no TVs and parking is on street.

Guest access
Guests will have access to all that the house has to offer -- there is new, super-fast wifi! I don't offer TV, because most people use their computers, laptops, or phones for entertainment-devices. Please note that the back garden is now *off limits* due to guest misuse.

The kitchen is stocked with some spices, coffee markers, and utensils; it should be fairly easy to eat in if that's what you are hoping for! I have oils, vinegars, salts, sugar, etc.

I offer a hair dryer and piles of extra large, soft towels for your convenience. Forgot your soap or shampoo? I have you covered and then some! Check out the goodies in the bathroom vanity to help make your stay more comfortable.

Please feel free to water the plants so they don't die in the summer heat!
