Norwegian koselig (peaceful comfort) awaits with the huge veranda in a quiet, tree-filled yard. On a quiet street but close-in to downtown, Pulpit Rock, Whippy Dip and more! With 3 bedrooms including a king, queen, and 2 twin beds, this property offers a pleasant stay for guests. Enjoy the new modern kitchen, along with full dining space and the peace of just one bedroom per floor. Whether you're traveling solo, with family, or friends, this charming house is the perfect retreat for your next vacation. Close to all Decorah has to offer but in such a quiet neighborhood. BBQ grill available.
Newly updated modern kitchen with gas stovetop and dishwasher. TV offer Roku for your streaming or local channels. Office includes family game station. Basement is mainly unfinished but has 2 twin beds to allow more options for visitors. Washer and dryer available in basement.
The sauna is large and available for your use to embrace a bit of the Scandinavian lifestyle. As a midcentury home, stairs are steeper so those with mobility issues will want to use the main level bedroom. Exterior stairs available to the basement in case the interior stairs are too narrow for those with mobility issues. We look forward to welcoming you!

Property was clean and very nice. The neighborhood was quiet and seemed safe. The property owner was responsive and provided recommendations for local dining and activities. I would stay again.

Iowa natives, Doug traveled the world for his work & Amy is a teacher. Career two was owning some wellness spas in Iowa, during which Doug became an LMT. We recently sold the business to have more time for parent support and hopefully a bit more travel and hobbies. (Doug now works part-time at Day Spring Spa in Decorah.) We rent to students in Iowa City & Ames, and are excited to add this Decorah spot to host!
