I chose Sombrero Beach in Marathon because it’s truly one of the most special places in the Florida Keys. The neighborhood has such a welcoming, laid-back feel, where neighbors wave hello and the natural beauty surrounds you everywhere you look. Sombrero Beach itself is just steps away—a pristine stretch of sand with turquoise waters, swaying palms, and the perfect spot to watch a Keys sunset.

I love that this area captures the best of both worlds: a peaceful, family-friendly beach neighborhood while still being close to Marathon’s great restaurants, marinas, and activities. Whether it’s snorkeling, boating, fishing, or simply enjoying the ocean breeze, there’s always something to enjoy.

It felt like the perfect place to create a home that I could share with others—where guests can make memories, slow down, and experience the charm of the Keys the way locals do. Hosting here is truly a joy because I get to welcome people into a community and a beach I fell in love with myself.
