'Rise above the crowds to a quiet back street, only a short walk to beach and shops, this sleek modern house has a massive glass-encased living room with a large flowing space with plenty of fat, modular couches and chaises to spread out on..'

Nestled in the hillside in a private cul-de-sac, this stunning architecturally designed ultra-modern sanctuary, is only a short stroll to the beach, restaurants and shops with no hills.

Revel in the modern facilities over 2 levels this haven provides. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, car parking available, a fully-equipped European stainless steel kitchen, new ceramic cooktop/oven, polished concrete slab floor, floor to ceiling windows, WiFi, reverse cycle heating/cooling, laundry with washing machine. Master bedroom has an ensuite with toilet and double shower and downstairs bedrooms with toilet, shower and bath.

perfect lorne getaway

Anne-Marie's place is super clean and a really comfortable space for our family of 4. Kitchen had everything we needed for bbq/cooking a few meals.Only a short walk into town/beach through the caravan park. A quiet spot - perfect for a week away!thanks x

Located just a short walk to Main Street and supermarket. Beautiful nature around the property.

Beautiful contemporary style townhouse sitting up high amongst the trees. The queens size bed up stairs is very comfortable & outside deck is lovely. We had a very relaxing break, enjoying this property immensely. We would love to rent it again.

Great stay over the busy Xmas new year period

Our family of four (2kids aged 11 and 14) stayed here for 9 nights over the very busy xmas new year period. The place was fantastic - very clean, good air conditioning in all but one bedroom, very functional kitchen with all the supplies and crockery/cookware required. The rooms are quite spacious and the large open plan kitchen/living area was great. The location lacks a significant view but is in a nice quiet cul-de-sac and is a good escape from the more hectic ‘main drag’ of lorne. The house doesn’t have much of a beachy vibe and to us felt much more a town house not a beach house, but this is very clear by the look of the listing - so if you’re after a spacious house for pretty good value in walking distance to town and don’t mind missing out on a beach view etc then I’d very much recommend it.

Okay

The host was easy to communicate with and the house was well equipped, however subpar cleanliness and upkeep were a big letdown for us. After months (or years) of rushed surface cleans the house really needs a good scrub - spider webs formed in the light fixtures, dirt accumulated in the corners and under beds/couches, sickly soap scum ring formed in the bath, and we even found someones used ear plugs. It’s not very accessible and family friendly, so I would definitely not be staying here again.

Wonderful place to stay.

We had a fantastic stay at this property. It is in the perfect location and the home is beautifully presented and equipped with everything you need for a great getaway. Would definitely highly recommend a stay here and we would love to go back.

Beautiful house, great location

We had a relaxing week in this beautiful house. Check in and check out was simple and Lorne is spectacular. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back.

Christmas at Lorne

The property was in a nice quiet neighbourhood . Lots of native trees and birds. Easy walk to the beach. Big windows overlooking native trees.

Disappointing stay in a beautiful location

Our family have been visiting Lorne over the past 60 years through 4 generations and this is the only time we have gone home disappointed. We were told a few days before we left that we had to bring our own linen and towels, even though advertised linen provided on the Great Ocean Road listing. Was also listed in the terms and conditions documents that they provide linen. Instructions for key collection were unclear for collection and drop off. Had to call the host again who said she’d emailed me the info, which I have searched my inbox and the HomeAway app and nothing was provided. No firewood or matches or instructions on the fireplace, fireplace is advertised. One of the main reasons why we chose the property. The host told us they don’t deliver firewood in Summer. It was 2 December and 11 degrees during the day. No wifi, this was correctly advertised but you would think this would be a basic service in 2019. No heating in children’s room. We paid for a 3 bedroom home and could only use two rooms as it was too cold for my baby to sleep in there. Appauling customer service when we were told the power was going to but turned off for 6 hours. The host offered no solution or help in any way, she simply passed on the information as an FYI. We had no option but to cut our stay short as I needed to keep my baby warm and heat up her food. Whilst we understand this was out of The Host’s control, we were left stranded and were only refunded up 3/4 of the daily rate when we were forced to check out 24 hours early. No plug for bath so had to dangerously shower with my baby. I had previously informed The Host I would be bringing an 8 month old baby upon my booking. We paid a service fee and were asked to sweep and vacuum the floors, wipe down the fridge, empty dishwasher and put away all dishes which equates to 2 hours of work for a 2 night stay. With a large security bond at stake we followed all the rules and still managed to have funds deducted from our bond as a small piece of coal fell onto the cheap mat which was placed directly under the fireplace. It took over a week to get our security bond returned after having to follow up the refund a week after we left. Host is quick to respond however was most unhelpful, condescending and lacked compassion when we needed assistance.

The house was ideal for our family - everything we needed to cook at home and within walking distance to everything (beach, shops etc). A koala living in the tree out the front was a hit with the kids.

Hidden Gem

We had a long weekend up our sleeve and decided to head to Lorne in winter time. This place was fantastic. It is hidden a short distance away from the shops (walk to for a lazy breakfast) in a beautiful quite location. The accommodation was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. The cupboards were clearly marked for what is where. The open fire was perfect for sitting back and reading a book. Awesome place, lovely owners. Thanks for a great weekend.

Perfect Lorne Retreat

I love this property it is my 'go to place' when staying on Lorne! With it's perfect location set amongst the tree tops Boulevard Retreat provides the ideal place for a coastal escape - beautifully designed the place is well appointed, comfortable and within walking distance to the shop, surf and cafes/restaurants. Perfect!

Fabulous

We had a fantastic time at the Boulevard Retreat House. The location was great with just a short stroll to the shops and beach. We woke surrounded by wildlife, kangaroos, koalas, ducks etc and the small quiet boulevard was a great place for our child to play safely. The house itself had a super layout, nice and modern and easy to use. We will definitely be back!

A place to escape to

I love this place and have stayed here many times. It simply ticks all the right box's - great architecture, beautiful interiors, well appointed amenities, clean, great location ... the perfect place to getaway to (which is why I keep coming back!!)
