The cabin was great for our small family to be able to do half days in Shenandoah or even driving in to DC and still be able to get back and have a nice place to keep all our stuff and rest and relax.
We loved the cabin and the views are amazing. Close enough to local attractions but remote enough to enjoy the quiet. Our pups enjoyed being walked the property. The cabin is cozy, it’s big enough for a family of 4 to not feel crowded. We will book again.
3 Chimneys cabin and amenities were very nice and as advertised. We would stay there again, but I would suggest the following. Tick control in the cabin (there were at least a dozen live ticks that we had to contend with). Air Conditioner - The kitchen fan goes from slow to slower (and the lighting is too dim). I would not stay in warmer months without AC. Window latches need repair (and screens need replacement in window & door) clean up the dead bugs.
Me and my boyfriend had a great weekend staying in the cabin! It was perfect size for us. The check-in process was my fault (I didn't read it all the way through) but if you get there after hours the key will be at the main office not on the property. Bring a lighter and a flashlight if you want to make a fire in the firepit. You can not fish from the property you have to go somewhere else. The cabin sits on a large drop-off. If you enjoy hiking..we hiked the Overall Falls via Thompson Hollow trail. It was very close to the property. Overall it was a good experience and would recommend.

Very EZ
For our use it worked out great and I would book again.
Pros: Clean and well appointed.
Ok space, especially if the weather allows you to
use the outdoor areas.
Wood provided for fire pit.
Gas grill ready to go on deck.
Grocery only 10 miles away in Luray. Farm stand
and mom in pop & gas just a few miles north.
Shower worked great, better than we thought.
Nice people, both the owner and maintenance guy.
Enough space inside to play guitars, cards, etc. for
4 adults.
HVAC worked fine for us.
Considering the highway and trains, it was
relatively quiet. No one bothered us.
Cons: Small compared to a house our suite.
View is the 3 chimneys (If you care).
Located in the back of the property manager's
house (If you care maybe 80' away).
Deck and screened in area are aged, but nice to
have.
Address not posted on road.
Unless you luck out, you have to go to Front
Royal to get keys. Lucked out, the
maintenance guy was home and had keys.
We brought our 2 dogs & they loved the huge yard!! We walked down to the beautiful overlook at the back of the property several times a day. Such a beautiful spot to sit & reflect. I saw a red tail hawk up close & personal there!
None of the TVs worked, nor the DVD players, so if you want to go somewhere to veg in front of a TV, this isn’t your cabin.
But, my husband & I are starving artists, so we had a great time painting rocks while we were there. I painted one with a ladybug (see if you can find it) & left it on the property. (We saw quite a few lady bugs there).
Just such a well-needed quiet getaway for us. It’s quiet, the cabin is lovely inside, but there are no open cabinets in which to put groceries that you bring with you.
Also, there were a lot of broken mini blinds, so I had to put pieces of paper in the windows so that no one would be able to peer in.
Don (the owner) always made himself available if we had questions, & after we left we discovered my husband had left his medications there. Don called us BEFORE we realized my hubby left them there to let us know, & he very promptly sent them in the mail to us. We couldn’t have gotten a more attentive & compassionate host.
There are 2 little grocerettes that we found where you can get food staples, pillows, bedding, charcoal, etc in & there are 2 local gas stations with the cheapest gas we’ve seen in a long time!!
If you’re looking for a place to “run away” from the trappings of society…this is your cabin! This little cabin is a wonderful place to stay, & we plan to be back on our Anniversary!! We wish we could just live there!!
My beloved and I had an amazing weekend in the mountains. The sunset was beautiful from the observation deck overlooking the Shenandoah River. Town was a short drive away. The cabin was perfect, with every luxury of home. The Lord gave us beautiful weather and we had a perfect view of the foliage.
Everything was smooth it was confusing for a minute because there was no number on mailbox so we thought we missed it. The screened in porch with swing was amazing
Great spot for a couple for an extended weekend. Beautiful overlook on nearby observation deck. Close to Shenandoah National Park and State Park. Also, great location between Front Royal and Luray. Enjoyed it very much!!
Everything was good very comfy with a good view. The owner is very nice to us attending us very well love it! Easy access. With a lot of good stuff very clean and neat. Mostly all places don’t accept dogs and with this cabin i appreciate a lot.
We enjoyed basing ourselves in this cabin. Very comfortable, near the river. View from cabin is wooded, a couple of minutes to reach deck overlooking Shenandoah River for beautiful views, and nice spot to relax. Nearby glampimg tents, so cabin not isolated. Also located near busy road, good for ready access to state and national parks, but results in road noise outdoors (quiet when inside). WiFi worked well.
Very easy process. Perfect for two adults and 1 child. We enjoyed the dock overlooking the river. Thank you !

Great spot
Somewhat smaller than anticipated, but clean, good location and comfortable. Had a concern about the AC our last night (99 that day!) but got immediate response from manager who called the guy on site and he called an AC guy. Right away. Very comforting to feel so taken care of!! Deck on river is wonderful.
Was one of the worst trips I’ve ever taken.. The area was beautiful but the cabin surroundings was nothing like the pictures on the website showed.. I would not book with that group again.
Cabin was exactly what we expected. Worked well as a home base as we looked at homes in the area. Loved the view and the chimneys. Host was very helpful when questioned about a couple items of interest to us.
It was very quiet, peaceful and beautiful at the cabin. There was a beautiful overlook of the Shenandoah River and only minutes from the National Park. My family and I would say there again

Great spot to wind down after exploring Shenandoah
I went on a trip with a few friends and had a wonderful stay at this location, esp to wind down and spend some time relaxing after a long day of hiking at Shenandoah National Park. The cabin is located off a major highway and the route to the Park is extremely simple (a bit nerve-wracking trying to find the exact location the first time around, but not a major issue). Cabin itself was extremely cozy and just the right temperature in the summer. No major issues with appliances, though some are quite old. Also lots of green space outside!
The cabin is cute and clean. The AC works great! I enjoyed sitting on the bench swing in the screened porch watching the fireflies while it was raining. Wish we could have stayed longer.
This cozy cabin was the perfect location with an amazing overlook within a short walking distance. Close driving distance to parks and towns. Had an electric fire place to keep us toasty during chilly evenings as we had a rainy but fun weekend. When it rained, it was so nice to sit in the enclosed part of the deck on the swing, keeping dry while enjoying a cup of coffee. They had a nice welcome basket including coffee. We loved hearing the occasional train too. Luckily the sun did make an appearance on our last day, and we were able to enjoy the views! It was a perfect size for two on a holiday weekend.
