‘Saddle Up' is a southern inspired new build house in Black Mountain. Dedicated to family and comfort, it has everything you will need for a get-a-way with or without the kids (two footers or four footers). From the fully fenced backyard, the flagstone fire pit, WiFi enabled TV and more! Linens, towels, soap, pack-n-play and booster seat all provided. The house is a mile walk to downtown Black Mountain and 5 minute drive to Montreat. Come stay at this new listing!

Wonderful property for a quick mountain biking trip. Our pup loved the fenced in back yard, and the close proximity to downtown black mountain was awesome. Emily and Ben are super responsive and great hosts.

This was a perfect home for us and our two fur babies. The fenced yard was perfect for our puppies. The house is nicely decorated and has everything one may need. Black Mountain is a cute town and super dog friendly. We brought our dog crate, in case we needed to leave without the dogs, but so many places allowed them that we didn’t need it. Owners are very responsive, check in is easy, would stay again!

Comfortable rooms, nice kitchen, love the deck off of the bedroom. Neighborhood is quiet and the people we met were friendly. Fenced in yard and fire pit were great. We stayed to see the trolls at the arboretum.

There were no Kleenex and no soap in any of the bathrooms. The refrigerator was not clean. Other than these things everything was very nice.

The house was not very clean. There were brown spots on every bath towel, bugs all over the house, dishes had leftover food on them, even found a chain in one of the towels. The backyard had nothing but weeds and was not cut. The fire pit was not cleaned out. The AC did not work the whole entire time we were there. It was 85 in the house the whole time. It was literally cooler outside than inside the house. We were all drenched in sweat the entire time and the dogs were nonstop panting from how hot it was. The host didn’t communicate very well about getting the AC fixed. Had to ask the host at least three times for compensation for the AC not working. Kept getting ignored the previous times I’ve asked. There’s no ice or filtered water at the house. Nothing was provided for the fire pit outside. Nothing was provided for the shower either except for leftover shampoo and conditioner bottles. Used air filters were left around the house. An empty paper towel roll was left on the fire place.

Thank you for providing your feedback. We sincerely apologize that your stay fell short of your expectations during your visit. Regarding the air conditioning, we took action as soon as you notified us. An HVAC technician was dispatched to the property right away to diagnose the system. Unfortunately, a specific replacement part had to be ordered, which prevented an immediate repair during your stay. We understand how uncomfortable the high temperatures were for you and your pets, and we regret that the part could not arrive sooner. The credit for your stay was provided as well as an early free cancellation option, but was refused. Regarding the cleanliness of the home, the towels, and the yard conditions, these issues were not brought to our attention during your stay. Had we been notified while you were at the property, we would have immediately sent our housekeeping and maintenance teams to address every concern, re-clean the home, and provide fresh linens. We take cleanliness and maintenance very seriously, and we are using your review to conduct a thorough evaluation with our cleaning crew and groundskeeping staff to ensure these details are handled properly moving forward.
