Enjoy Luxury Accommodation just metres from the water’s edge as you relax and enjoy the water views through the full width windows. A large open plan entertainment and dining area makes a great location for a relaxing holiday or for celebrating a special occasion with family and friends.
5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms ensure up to 14 people can relax in style.

WiFi & Netflix are available and there is also a home theatre with 75” TV with Netflix and DVD's for adults & kids

A well equipped kitchen with Aldi coffee machine and large outdoor BBQ means you can entertain in style or, if you prefer to eat out, the highly acclaimed Bombora restaurant is only 100m away.

Goolwa beach is a great spot for surfing or cockling and if you have a 4WD you can drive on the beach all the way to the Murray Mouth. If you’re a golfer it’s only 300m to Goolwa South Lakes Golf course.

Nearby there is plenty for the kids to do with a new adventure playground and safe swimming area or they can play table tennis or boules at the house.

There is plenty for all the family to do in Goolwa, the first Cittaslow town in Australia. The Cockle train runs daily to Victor Harbor during school holidays or go for a ride on the Oscar W paddle steamer or explore the Coorong by boat tour or kayak.

Further afield there is heaps to do exploring the Fleurieu Peninsular and it’s nearby towns.

Jill and Mike were great hosts. They kept us up to date with everything we needed to know about our stay.Their holiday house had fantastic views and the location was fabulous. We could just walk across the road to the nature playgroup and to cool down in the river. The lift was a big help for getting our luggage and shopping upstairs. The children loved the cinema room and the adults enjoyed some peace and quiet when they were in it! This was one of the best holiday houses we have ever stayed in and we would highly recommend it to others.

Excellent venue for family holiday

We appreciated the living area. Lots of seating inside and out which suited us well for eating together, playing games, and relaxing. The home theatre was also popular. There are good walking tracks in the area e.g. to the bird hide. The beds were comfortable.Kitchen facilities were excellent. Good views. Air-conditioners helped to cool us in the hot weather although evaporative increased humidity.

Immaculate views from a spacious home

Our group of 12 stayed here and it was an excellent experience! We enjoyed walking along the waterfront when the weather permitted, and the views of the water from indoors when the weather was a bit more windy too. The house was very well stocked with kitchen equipment, bedding, and entertainment options. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again! Excellent hosts - thank you so much.

Great trip with friends. The house is massive and acccommodates young families very well. Kids loved the cubby house and room outside to set up the water slide. Lots of beds and the cinema room was a hit!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Goolwa Gettaway. The house is spacious, comfortable and in a great location with a view over the water. The property is very well equipped with lots of cooking appliances, coffee machine, BBQ, TVs, amazing laundry, etc. It really does have everything for a great stay. Kids toys, a high chair, games, books and the theatre which was great hit with both adults and kids. There is too much to mention. Communication from Jill and Mike was excellent. Highly recommended.

Simply the Best!

We had a group of friends, my partner, and our daughter stay over new years to bring in 2024. We were all blown away with the place and all of the amenities on offer. We felt completely at home and everything was so seamless. The rooms were absolutely lovely and the bathrooms were so clean. The whole layout of the house worked so well for a large group and the seating as well for everyone was a huge plus. We really valued this stay and we hope to be back again to maybe bring in 2025! Definitely book this place! It was simply the best!

A wonderful place to stay even with bad weather!

A very well positioned, stocked, and comfortable house for the extended family over Christmas week. Mike and Jill have set up a home away from home (and a home with media room, table tennis, music system, etc. at that!). The weather was awful but we had lots of areas where we could come together for games, or go off for some quiet time. Would recommend this house to anyone wanting a relaxing time away - wherever the weather.
